2010 has rolled in and it is cold outside for us here in North Carolina. So I've been inside a lot. Aside from tending to the bird feeders, I haven't really done a thing in the yard. I check out the little beds I have so far and then turn to the internet for my 2010 scheming. I have been doing a lot of reading on straw bale gardens and also on putting in a meadow in the far back of my yard.
For the first part of my plan, I want to construct a trellis which will go over the top and outsides of my straw bale attempt at a garden this year. Hopefully it will pan out for me.
Next on the docket is the plans for the flower beds. Megan loves fragrant flowers so I've been thumbing through all of the seed catalogs. I need to get a move on...
I've got a few saplings I need to plant when the temps warm up a bit as well as get started on tilling some new beds in and the adding some soil.
